Shot Simulator App Reviews

well app is good as it stands but its kinda hard to really use it as a simulator if you have no idea waht your stand height or actual angle on the shot on there is nowhere tha i have seen, unless I missed it that says your simulataed height or the angel of the shot. Its great taht it gives you tracking tips and its a very cool app for showing where all the vitals are BUT if there was an addition of height and angle so when the user is panning back it actually shows the height distance and possibly range. afterall its a serious tool for serious hunters right? those people don;t want ot jsut guess at their info they want to be able to see the numbers so they know in the real life situatinos what and where everythign is

I wished I could tried app before purchasing. It has a lot of problems. I just through away 5 dollars. Do not waste your money

At first it confused me a little because I fired an arrow when it started up. I finally figured out to turn off the tracking icon since I shot into the dirt. After I figured that out.... its AMAZING what this app does. You slide your finger to move the deer 360 and then tap the spot on the deer you want to shoot. simple & smooth. YOU CAN ZOOM INTO THE DEER GUTS AND SEE YOUR ARROW PATH....I cant wait for hunting season to use this in my treestand. They say its not a game but I cant stop taking shots and guessing what I hit before I peel the skin off. Its really cool and simple.. on second thought..dont buy this I want to be the only one with it If you hunt.... get this app...

Good app that gives great info in regards to bow hits. I would like to see a distance and height variable. Toughest part is remembering your exact hit in the heat of the moment. Blood trail picture tutorial would be helpful to help identify hits for more novice hunters. Also possibly adding a poundage variable as well would help. We all know that my fmj out of my elite 70lb bow is going to react different as compared to my dads 50lb mission with goldtips.

Initially I thought this app would be fun to fool around with and learn a little bit. It turns out my 12yr old prefers this to Angry Birds among all other game apps! He spends a lot of time on this app learning and showing ME a better shot. The amount of angles and detail with each shot are extremely helpful. Its tough for bowhunters to admit you learned something (because we already know all!) but I am thankful to be using this one. The more you use it, the more it become 2nd nature to know precisely where youre going to place the arrow. While taking an actual shot and an animal is a little difft than using this app, youll no doubt be more confident and educated about making a good shot become an excellent shot.

D&DH put together an excellent resource. It is fun to see different shot results and as a professional deer biologists the information is accurate. I look forward to using it this season and see future upgrades!

I purchased this app to have something fun to do on my phone while waiting for the season to start it downloaded to my phone the start up screen started and then shut down and went back to my main screen I removed it and re installed it 5 times then when it still didnt work they say to get support from the developer well good luck with that!!!!! Well thanks Deer and Deer Hunting for scaming me outa my 5 bucks bet you wont do it to me again

Pretty cool app to toy around with when trying to find out where u hit on a deer but DEFINITELY not worth $4.99. I would pay $1.99 max.

Cool app... When it works. Not worth $5 at all. Used it twice and it will not even open anymore. Highly dissapointed!

Wish there was a "real" version for the iPad rather than the same iPhone version... just twice the size. Great to look at post-shot, if anything just to do something for the initial 30-minute wait.

This is a good app for what it is designed to do. It is not a game, so dont expect a lot of action. With that said, the controls need a serious overhaul. Zooming in and out is tedious at best, and half the time forces the app to crash. I do like the anatomy layering, which helps to see where vitals are located at different angles. Overall, not worth the $5 with all the bugs, but has potential to be an amazing tool.

Could be an outstanding tool but it is just so clunky. It is definitely not useless but for $5 it is a disappointment. Hopefully they are still working on it and will come out with an iPad version as well.

Not worth the money or the effort to run it at this time. They should do some serious overhauls before promoting it like they do on their show!!

Heres an idea... Take $5 bill and set it on fire. Youll get more entertainment/information out the flames than you will out of this piece of crap. Come on D&DH is this the best youve got?

This app, while slightly educational, needs some serious work before it is worth $4.99. The controls are hard to navigate and makes the app crash. D&DH should not be promoting this app until it is worthy of their name. I should have read the reviews first!!!

I should have paid attention to the reviews. Used it a couple times and now Im done. Has potential to be so much better. Worth about 2 bucks (dollars, that is).
